Editorial Policy

This page explains how Realty AI Desk is researched, written, funded and corrected. Last updated September 2026.

Who writes this site

One person, publishing as J.P. I am not a licensed real estate agent and I do not claim to be. Nothing here should be read as legal, financial or brokerage advice. For anything involving MLS rules, disclosure requirements or contracts, check with your broker or your local association.

What kind of site this is

A research site, not a testing lab. Articles are built from primary sources — trade body research, federal agency data, government reports, state statutes, and providers’ own published pricing pages — read directly rather than through somebody else’s summary.

This site does not currently publish hands-on product tests. If an article ever includes one, it will say so explicitly and show the evidence. Until then, assume that what you are reading is sourced research rather than a report from someone who sat in front of the software.

How claims are checked

  • Every statistic is traced to a named source and linked, so you can read the original wording rather than trusting the paraphrase.
  • Prices are read from the provider’s own public pricing page on the date stated, in US dollars. Prices change; the date tells you how stale the number is.
  • Recurring price comparisons are re-checked monthly. The date at the top of the table moves only when the check actually happened, not automatically.
  • Where a figure measures opinion rather than outcome, the article says so. A survey of what agents believe is not a measurement of what buyers did, and conflating the two is the most common failure in this subject.
  • Nothing is invented. No made-up statistics, no fabricated studies, no invented experts, no quotes nobody said.

How AI is used in the writing

This is a site about AI tools, so it would be strange to be cagey about it. Articles here are drafted with AI assistance. The research, the source-checking and the editing sit around that drafting and are where the actual work happens.

Every factual claim is verified against its named source before publication, and the sources are listed at the bottom of each article so you can check them yourself. AI is not used to invent results, generate fake screenshots, fabricate quotes, or write about a product as though it had been used when it had not.

Images

The images on this site are original graphics produced here — cover cards and charts built from the data in the article. They are not vendor marketing material, and they are not screenshots of software presented as evidence of a test. Any image supplied by a third party would be labelled as such.

How the site makes money

Display advertising, and nothing else at present. There are no affiliate links on this site, no sponsored posts and no paid placements.

If that changes, the disclosure will appear on the page it applies to, above the recommendation rather than buried below it, and this page will be updated on the same day. The rule that would apply: commissions never decide a ranking or a recommendation.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, it gets fixed and the change is noted at the bottom of the article with the date. Substantive corrections are not made silently. Routine pricing and feature updates are marked with a revised date rather than a correction note.
